• CWS 2010– to be organized as a joint event
• Dates: 5 to 7 May 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre
• Leading platform for the Water industry in China and Asia

Messe München International (MMI), the organizer of IFAT CHINA, and Shanghai ZM International Exhibition Co., Ltd., organizer of CWS, Show for Water Supply,Drainage and Water Treatment, are planning a joint event in 2010 –CWS 2010. As part of this cooperation, there are also new joint dates, with IFAT CHINA being moved just one day: CWS 2010 will take place from 5 to 7 May 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

IFAT CHINA, International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse, Recycling and Natural Energy Sources, attracted 362 exhibitors and over 10,500 visitors for the last event in 2008. The proportion of exhibitors from outside China was again very high, at over 50 percent. In 2009, CWS, Show for Water Supply, Drainage and Water Treatment a strong national trade fair, hosted a total of 756 exhibitors and over 32,000 visitors. As such, these two events complement each other very well, both in terms of exhibitor and visitor profiles.

IFAT CHINA was successfully launched in Shanghai in 2004 by MMI, the organizer of IFAT in Munich, Germany, the leading international trade fair for environmental solutions worldwide. "IFAT CHINA and CWS are two strong trade fairs for environmental and Water technology, joining forces in China for the national and for international markets. Now that these two fairs are collaborating, exhibitors and visitors of both will gain access to an even wider range of promising business opportunities, all gathered together under one roof. Through this cooperation, CWS 2010 will be the leading platform for the sector in the Asian region," said Eugen Egetenmeir, Member of the Management Board of Messe München International.
